Vampire musical supports The Christie
Press Release Posted 28 March 2012
Vampirette, the new musical premiering at the
Opera House, Manchester on Friday 4 May, will be sponsoring a gala
charity performance in favour of The Christie charity and its
haematology unit on Wednesday 9 May.
Lord Keith Bradley, chairman of The Christie charity,
said, "Our dedicated fundraisers allow so many things to happen
across all of our specialist units in the Trust. This musical
looks set to be an entertaining, innovative fundraising venture,
which I am sure will get many people talking. This production
will raise money for our haematology and transplant unit, so will
have a direct positive impact on our patients."
Thirty three percent of all the ticket sales on that night will
be donated to The Christie charity by the producers of
Vampirette. There will also be bucket collections on the
night.
Writer and Producer Jonathan Choat said: "We are proud to be
supporting The Christie charity and I'm sure the guests of Lord
Bradley and Manchester's VIPs will enjoy this new musical comedy
and be encouraged to give generously to such a tremendous
cause."
