The Christie charity is generously supported by a number of incredible fundraising groups who go above and beyond in their activities to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
Fundraising groups can be a collection of friends, family or a community, all coming together to fundraise for a common cause, having plenty of fun along the way.
Our Community Team are here to help fundraising groups with their events from providing useful hints and tips to loaning materials such as collection buckets and presentation cheques.
If you are interested in joining one of our existing groups or would be interested in registering as a new group, please get in touch.

The Christie Friends
Kathleen Brown, Chairman of The Christie Friends, began fundraising for The Christie over 17 years ago following her husband’s treatment for lung cancer at the hospital.
It all started with Kath and her friends selling homemade cakes at The May Draper Tea Bar at The Christie, the delicious fruit cake would fly out at just 40p a slice and Kath began to get lots of requests from staff and patients for more cake!
Kath and the team of Christie Friends continued to raise money in a very unique way to help patients of The Christie and their families who were facing financial hardship as a result of their illness. Grants made by The Christie Friends have paid towards simple everyday costs such as household bills, travel expenses and even for patients with terminal cancer to go on holiday with their family.
Kath remains one of The Christie’s most dedicated fundraisers and last year she presented the charity with a cheque for £12,000 on behalf of The Christie Friends. This money was raised from a very successful fashion show, table top sales and the sales of their annual diaries.
Kath from The Christie Friends, said: "I couldn’t have done this without the support of family and friends over the years who continue to support The Christie Friends, thank you to everyone."
We can’t thank The Christie Friends enough for their amazing and continued support!
