Christie Charity Event Volunteer

Role description:

The role of the Christie Charity Event Volunteer is to set up and attend events in and around Greater Manchester to promote the work of The Christie Charity. 

The post holder will attend community fundraising events in Manchester and Greater Manchester on behalf of The Christie Charity fundraising team. This may include speaking about our work and running information and fundraising stalls. The Event volunteer role is for people dedicated to the work of The Christie Charity. The post holder will volunteer their time to represent the charity in their local community.

Christie Charity Lottery Sign-Up Volunteer

Role description:

The role of the Christie Charity Lottery Sign-Up Volunteer is to set up and attend events in and around Greater Manchester to promote the Christie Charity Lottery. 

The post holder will attend community fundraising events in Manchester and Greater Manchester on behalf of The Christie Charity fundraising team. This may include speaking about the lottery, signing people up to become a lottery member and talk about the benefits of becoming a member and how it can help the charity. The lottery sign-up volunteer role is for people dedicated to the work of The Christie Charity and they will volunteer their time to represent the charity in their local community.

Christie Charity Speaker Volunteer

Role description:

The role of the Christie Charity Speaker Volunteer is to promote the work of The Christie Charity by organising and giving talks and presentations within the community. 

The post holder will attend community fundraising events in and around Greater Manchester on behalf of The Christie Charity fundraising team. This may include speaking about our work, attending cheque presentations or running information and fundraising stalls. The speaker role is for people dedicated to the work of The Christie Charity. The post holder will volunteer their time to represent the charity in their local community; to be our voice, and to assist with fundraising and awareness raising activities near them.

Meet and greet volunteer (Pharmacy)

Closing date: 23 September 2018

Role description:

The role of the volunteer is to enhance the patient’s experience of The Christie Pharmacy by providing services of a non-nursing, non-medical nature and to free up the time of the paid members of staff at all levels to enable them to carry out the duties which they are qualified to do.

The Meet and Greet volunteer's duties will include greeting patients and visitors on arrivals, dealing with general enquiries, helping patients and their relatives to understand the systems in the Pharmacy department and assisting Pharmacy staff in delivering best patient care.

Complementary Therapist (Hand Care) Oldham

Closing date: 17 September 2018

Role description:

The post holder will be primarily responsible for providing complementary therapy (hand care) as appropriate to previous level of training and insurance and associated preparatory tasks, to maintain and promote the well-being of patients and carers. The post holder will work under supervision as part of a team. This role requires specific qualifications and experience which is outlines within the person specification.
