Public sector staff across the country have today been taking part in industrial action to protest about the Government's proposed changes to public sector pensions. This has affected all public services, including the NHS.

A small number of staff at The Christie took part in the industrial action. Our priority, and the priority of our staff, has been to maintain the continuity of patient care and ensure all of the treatments scheduled were delivered.

We have implemented plans to ensure this happened, and patients who were due to have treatment today have come in as planned
